Goal
Write a page of about 430 words with one call to action that sends people into your quiz.
Why it matters
Most local service businesses don’t sell on the page. They sell on the phone or at a visit, after a quiz has done the filtering. So the page doesn’t need to win the argument. It needs one tap from the right person. Every extra section is one more place for a stranger to stop reading on a small screen. This lesson is how my team writes the short version, and how we decide what gets cut.
In the full lesson
- Step 1 · Decide if your page should be short
- Step 2 · Mark what stays on the page
- Step 3 · Write the top so the right person keeps reading
- Step 4 · One ask, and only one on the screen
- Step 5 · Cut it to size, then read it on your phone
